The York Region Festival Alliance (YRFA) is a collaborative network of festivals and fairs across York Region. York Region is a large geographic area north of Toronto and is comprised of nine municipalities – Georgina, East Gwillimbury, Newmarket, Aurora, Whitchurch-Stouffville, King Township, Richmond Hill, Vaughan and Markham.
York Region is home to a wide variety of festivals and fairs that attract over 1 million attendees year-round. Our vibrant arts, cultural and heritage festivals are organized and managed either by community based non-profits or the municipalities.
The YRFA is a division of the York Region Arts Council, a registered non-profit charity, which also serves as the government appointed Direct Marketing Organization for tourism in York Region. The York Region Arts Council also owns and operates ExperienceYorkRegion.com – the official tourism website for York Region.
